Privacy

Short version: we collect almost nothing, we don't sell anything, and we don't track you around the internet. This page explains the little we do keep.
What we collect
- Your vote. When you rate your last WiFi, we store your answer and the date and time.
- A one-way code to stop repeat voting. We combine your IP address and browser type with a random secret that is created fresh each day, then scramble them into a code that can't be reversed. We keep only that code, and only to allow one vote per person per day. We never store your IP address itself. When the first vote of a new day comes in, a new secret is created and all older ones are deleted, from then on, codes from earlier days can't be linked to you or to each other, even by us.
- A note on your own device. Your browser remembers which option you picked (in local storage) so the page can show you the results next time. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no email collection, no advertising, no tracking cookies.
- No third-party analytics or ad scripts.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.
Our host
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. That is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep vote counts for as long as the site runs, because the totals are the point. The anti-repeat codes can't be linked to you once the secret used to make them has been deleted.
Future features
We plan to add WiFi reports and a speed test. If those collect anything new, such as your flight number or connection speed, we'll update this page before they launch and explain what is kept and what is shown publicly.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
